January 2011
VALE SHA'KABU.
A terrible start to the new year, we received a phone call from Kaicey to let us know that this great stallion had sadly been put to rest on Christmas Eve after complications from a form of colic. As we still had a vested interest in Jack, we are understandably floored by this news and it will be hard to accept that he is no longer around. Our heartfelt condolences however go out to Kaicey and Paul on their loss. Tragically they never had the opportunity to show this amazing stallion or use him over any of their mares. Rest in peace little bloke.
December 2010
What a busy time of year!! We excitedly announced the arrival of our first straight Egyptian colt foal (see foal page) and the birth of our first Arabian Stock Horse in the last three weeks, and now Christmas is looming! We have weaned our first foal already, and will have Emerald back out under saddle next year. Speaking of next year, we are Qld bound in January to catch up with all our eastern friends and family, (and a wedding!) after which we will get to go to one of the biggest Arabian shows in the country, the East Coast championships. This will give us the opportunity to check out the competition and decide which of our horses will make the long trip across the top to contend the 2012 Australian Championships. We will also get the opportunity to visit Allyndah Arabians and meet our little 'Andy' face to face - very exciting.... Look out Lynda!!
So, busy times ahead for us, and we wish everyone a very safe, and happy Christmas! See you all in 2011!
October 2010
Sad news...
Our leased mare Allyndah Shoshannah has decided not to gift us with a foal this season, sadly losing her foal in late pregnancy. Luckily all is well with Shoshanna and we would like to thank Lynda and Strawb for all their help and brilliant care of Shoshanna over the lease period.
HOWEVER....
We excitedly announce that we have purchased, in utero, our first Straight Egyptian foal from Allyndah Arabians. More news on this bold step for Wyngura Arabians in the not to distant future as we await the arrival of what could be an important cornerstone for the stud!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALLYNDAH TRUELY EXQUISITE!!!
Our good friends Lynda and Strawb of Allyndah Arabians have had an amazing return to the showring with their beautiful straight egyptian filly Truely Exquisite. Under the careful guidance of Wayne Beasley this gorgeous yearling filly took the Northern Rivers show by storm winning every class entered and being crowned Supreme Purebred Exhibit!! Not a bad start for Allyndah, and another accolade for her sire for the wonderful True Vision, who is also the sire of our beautiful True North. Congratulations to all!!
August 2010
A Slight Change in Direction!
Our 2010 show season, (which was going to be huge!) ended up with us only taking one horse over the border to the Northern Territory shows to compete. Our black colt, Wyngura True North, continued his good form taking out the trifecta winning overall Arabian Exhibit at Kununurra Show, the Arabian Stallion/Colt at Katherine and the Arabian Stallion/Colt class at the Darwin Royal show. With many good comments from all judges and a widening band of followers, he has proven himself worthy of a few more years with us. 'Jett' now has a lot of maturing to do before he will grace the showring again against the older horses, and so will be put out after his stud duties this season and further his saddle education at home.
Our beautiful GLF Apollo mare, Mulawa Emerald has finally foaled for us and has a stunning, correct and VERY big colt foal at foot, check our foal page for more details!
Also in the broodmare paddock, Charaway Kasmeeka is nearing the end of her term and absolutely blooming, (as she does). We are very excited to see the result of her mating.
And across the other side of the country, our lovely mare Allyndah Shoshanna is also coming along nicely and all fingers are crossed for a trouble free foaling coming soon. 'Spook' is being wonderfully managed by Lynda Sonter at Allyndah Arabians and we are continually receiving regular photo shoot updates on her... Thanks Lynda!!!
March 2010
What a busy month for Wyngura, our clients and friends!
A SUPERSTAR IN THE MAKING!!!!
First was the news that Beltara Ibn Sochain, the sire of our beautiful leased mare Shoshanna, recently scooped the pool at the Murry Bridge All Breeds show, winning Champion Pure Arabian Stallion, Supreme Champion Senior Purebred Arabian and then beating the youngsters to take out Supreme Exhibit. Well done to all concerned! With Shoshanna being safely in foal to Om El Eminence (who recently took out Top 10 Stallion at the 2010 Australian Championships) our eagerly awaited foal definately has the genes to be an absolute showstopper!
JAA'BU .... A FANTASTIC START!!
A phone call from one of our past clients Mrs Pat Tapsell, this week alerted us to the results of one of Sha'kabu's only entire sons in Perth at the recent All Arabian Show. Jaa'bu impressed the visiting English Judge and he not only won his class, but also Champion Junior Colt. A fantastic start to his show career! Congratulations Pat and Brian, may he bring you many more big wins.
SHA'KABU .... SOLD!!!!
The search is over for the best home for Sha'kabu! A very excited Kaicey Fink from the Northern Territory will be taking over the reins of our beloved Jack in April. After a very successful show season with EB Lodge, Jack will make the long trek to the NT to the delight of many of this states mare owners, (including us as we have retained breedings to him!). Sha'kabu will be shown by us at the Darwin Royal in July for his new owners. Congratulations Kaicey!
WYNGURA MARISHA .... SOLD!
Our lovely chestnut filly will stay in the Perth area with her new owner Jan Lodge of Pembrook Park Arabians. We are delighted to know she will be loved and shown and look forward to hearing of her success in the future. Congratulations Jan!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2010!
From all of us here at Wyngura Arabians, we would like to wish everyone a very happy new year.
We are looking forward to our show season 2010. On the home front, we will be doing the NT show circuit once more including the NT Horse of the Year and finishing off with the Masters Games in Alice Springs in October. On the east coast, our horses will be competing at a few select shows with EB Lodge again including the Australian Arabian Championships in March. Very exciting times ahead with two foals expected towards the end of the year as well!!
KUNUNURRA AGRICULTURAL SHOW (A GRADE) July 2009
Wyngura True North made his showing debut at the Kununurra Ag Show on Saturday, turning heads and impressing spectators even before he entered the ring. Proving our belief in his quality and potential, he won his class and was awarded Champion Arabian. A wonderful start to what we hope and believe will be a long and successful showing career for our colt!
AUSTRALIAN ARABIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009
Sha'kabu proved to be a formidable opponent at the Australian National Arabian Championships being awarded TOP 10 against some very impressive competition. Scoring the one of the highest amount of points for legs and feet in his class and quite possibly the highest score for the entire show in movement, we are very proud and pleased with his result.
Again, thanks must go to Andrew Buckley and the team at EB Lodge for their outstanding presentation and showing of Sha'kabu.
